We are delighted with the inventory management and POS functionality. integration with Payment Logistics for credit card processing has streamlined our checkout process. Paying consignor commissions is now straightforward and much more efficient. The interface with QuickBooks has greatly improved and simplified our bookkeeping tasks and the preparation of our monthly financiual statements.
Contras:
We eventually want to implement ACH payments for our consignors. Liberty does not support ACH payments.
Can't imagine my business without Liberty

Good Software, with Strings Attached
Comentarios: We used Liberty4Consignment four years, and while the daily operation was generally good, we always knew that we were not able to benefit from what the software offered. Larger resale businesses, especially those with more than one location and a dedicated back-office staff may find this to be the right solution for their needs; smaller operations may find it daunting and more challenging than beneficial.

The Liberty4Consign software is likely the most fully-featured POS offering for Resale, Consignment, and Antique Mall retailers. Management of vendors, customers, inventory, purchases, reports allow you to do almost anything related to your resale business. The Cloud offering reduces risk of data loss and minimizes the time you might spend doing software updates. Support is responsive in general, but not all technicians were adept at resolving issues.
Contras:
All the features come with a complexity 'hit', and training our staff beyond the basics proved to be near impossible. Because of this we were rarely ever able to make use of the features. The software is dated in its design and use, revealing in a not-so-graceful way that this is a monster database application. The cloud hosting frequently froze, requiring a reset either by ResaleWorld Support or by me as the store's admin user. More significant and annoying was the sales model where you must purchase one item/service to receive another. For example, with the Cloud subscription the free tech support was only available when subscribed to a tag purchase plan (and the tags were appropriately marked up to cover the cost.) Use of automated consignor emailing involved integration with ReCommerce, another paid service. If you want complete support, you must purchase your printer hardware through them, again at a significant cost. Reports: While many usable reports are built in to the software, attempting to modify or creating custom reports could lead to unpredictable results. Exporting data into Excel ( which should be a common tool for managers wanting to analyze data) is daunting, with numerous export options and Liberty rounding dollar amounts or including/omitting random bits of data, and formatting the exports in a difficult-to-use format.
Liberty is the BEST solution for the Resale Owner

I have used liberty4 consignment for the past 10 years. It is one of the best consignent tracking softwares I have used on the market. So many great features for pricing products, printing lables, offering payouts to consignors and keeping my reports up todate is priceless! The support team is hands down the best I've ever worked with. They are active in message boards and quick to help at all hours! They listen to our concerns and help develop solutions! This IS a software company built on basic needs but also a software that has adapted to the needs of its users!
Contras:
I wish it had more online intigration options but it has come a long way. As well as more for actual retail purchases so i could intigrate with my full price store a little better. But i know they are working on it
Most comprehensive software for the resale industry
Comentarios: I have had Liberty for 28 years. It provides us with great working pos and inventory management systems and it continues to improve every year.

Parts of it are not easy to learn. Although the tech support is much better than it used to be.

Comentarios: I used Liberty4 Consignment for almost 3 months and was highly satisfied with its features and functions as well as it's customer service. The price was kind of high for me but I am a smaller clothing consignment boutique in a rural town. It was a little hard to use at first but after the tutorials, it was a bit easier to understand. However, even with that being said my employees could never get the hang of inputting the inventory so I went with another software choice. Before I changed software programs, though, Liberty worked diligently with me to try and help my employees better understand the program and its features which were really great especially the lengths they went to try and help. I probably talked with them every day for almost two weeks before choosing to go another way.

I absolutely loved the fact that Liberty4 Consignment has so many unique features. You can run almost any type of report you can think of. It makes it really easy when you need specific information on a single account or type of item. It even allows you to print checks from the software and give the consignor a percentage increase for using their earning as store credit. It has so many unique features it is hard for me to remember them all. It is a little on the expensive side but the product is well worth the price you will be paying for it and they have tons of payment options and also a cloud-based option for those who don't want to step off the ledge just yet and purchase the physical software.
Contras:
Unfortunately, all of my employees had a hard time trying to learn how to use the software. They even had a hard time with checking people out before I purchased a handheld scanner to scan the items. They still had trouble inputting inventory and never figured out how to do reports of any kind or even look up accounts for consignors. In their defense, the software can be a bit confusing without having taken the training tutorials. Also, the Liberty4 Consignment software seems geared more towards a larger consignment store rather than a small boutique such as i have.

Comentarios: I cannot tell you enough how satisfied, impressed my wife and I are over the service and support we have received during the construction of our new ReCommerce website integrated with Liberty 4 Consignment. We have been using Liberty since we opened our store in early 2008 along with an independently hosted website that administered ourselves. Since store opening we already had a reference standard for software support in the form of Angel Vazquez. The rest of the support team has been great as well. We have found Liberty to be a robust and versatile and logical tool and the support staff flexible and eager to please in making adaptations based on our needs. It was only logical to integrate our website into it. After consulting with Angel this past summer about implementing Liberty's integrated ReCommerce web hosting it seemed a no-brainer to sign on, especially as he then had available time to work on our site. As I had a lot of travel and other distractions that made me slow to do the the work I needed to in moving all of the images from our existing website into Liberty to make ready for the conversion. By the time I was ready for him, Angel had a lot on his plate, but he went well above and beyond to get me up and running once I was ready, and antsy, to convert. Since that time he has been equally attentive to my continual requests as we continue to tweak the site. I cannot say enough about his proficiency, patience and cooperation in this project and in general. I also want to sing the praises of Mahashwar. I met him at the Resale World office for a brief seminar about ReCommerce shortly after Angel convinced me to sign on. Mahashwar gave me an excellent overview and from that day on has tirelessly fielded my continual questions as I continue to fine tune the website. Whether it is a ReCommerce or a general Liberty issue, I have sometimes felt guilty as we execute his instructions on our multiple computers and offered to "let him go" while I complete them but he always cheerfully stays with me until he knows all is good. While the one-two punch of Angel and Mahashwar are the Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris of software technical support, the rest of the team has been great to us as well. All are articulate and attentive and follow through. I am also impressed with ReCommerce tool itself. Especially after the software I had been using for our website it is a joy to use even aside from the integration with the latest version of Liberty 4 Consignment. The i-phone and i-pad app has been a joy to use, greatly simplifying getting items online quickly.

Robust. Dependable. Hasn't crashed yet. User friendly. Screen displays are pretty customizable. Tech staff is VERY knowledgeable. Pick their brain, they enjoy the challenge and are very willing to work with store owners who have a higher level of technical knowledge. They offer online trainings - perfect for those of us who cannot fly to FL for 3 days!
Contras:
Pricey, but worth it IMOP. Reporting isn't as customizable as I would like but they will work with you on ad hocs - at a price. POS features could be improved upon, such as individual coupons within a multi item receipt... Tech support plan requires purchase of thermal tags = not cheap. I never get a warm body when I call in - always have to leave a message, BUT calls are usually returned within same biz day. Vendor's trainings are held quarterly and seem to be during busy industry times and will not held if it falls around holidays? In 2013, I wanted to enroll in Liberty Cloud. Was reviewing web advertised pricing I was looking at with a salesperson, who stated the price I was quoting to her was not correct - I sent her a screen shot of what I saw. She saw it and said it was wrong. Within minutes, the web page was updated to a different package and I was simply thanked for pointing out the mistake. Just remember that this is a business, not a charity. Businesses don't make money giving stuff away. Right?

When I first decided I was going to open my consignment shop, my main concern was: how am i going to manage all my consigners and records accurately? The bookeeping was a big worry for me as I wasn't sure what I would have to do to make this work.
As a huge consignment shopper myself, I was in a great shop in Pittsburgh and talked to the manager about what the shop uses. This is when she told me about Liberty4 Consignment software. She raved about the software and highly recommended I contact Re-sale World.
The rest is history. Fantastic, easy and wonderful history! I bought this software (which was no problem to install and I am no technology wiz!) and my business was ready to go instantly!
I opened my doors February 1, 2012. My high-end, ladies consignment shop is doing great! My business is thriving. I can honestly say that a HUGE part of my success is based soley on my software, Liberty4 Consignment. I could not have done this without them.
This system is so easy to understand and learn, my shop is so efficient. Liberty4 Consignment is so user friendly, accurate and simple, it has made my business incredibly professional and smooth running! It is possibly the best decision I could have made. I'm serious. Comentarios: Lovely Lady Bugs (LLB) is a children's consignment boutique. In addition to consignment, we also have major retail vendors (and their inventory) in our system. LLB was already using Liberty4 when I purchased the business. I did look into 2 other software programs, but when I came to learn all of Liberty4's capabilities, I knew the search was futile. Since I took over the business last summer, I have hired 5 new employees and taught them the software myself. It is very user-friendly. Liberty4 is complex, in that is has a multitude of functions. However, not all employees need to know how to handle absolutely everything. So for what my employees need to know, it's simple and very understandable. As the owner of the store, I had to learn a lot of the aspects of the software. After all, a database-driven software program is only as useful as the information you put in it. We have a tag/support plan, and it's been invaluable. I can call tech support anytime and know that I'll get a return phone call, usually within the hour. I have yet to ask them a question that they can't explain and teach me, in an easy-to-understand manner. Better yet, every tech support person I talked to was extremely nice and respectable, even personable, on the phone. I have always received the help I needed and a solution to my issues. My opinion is that Liberty4 is the end-all solution to your resale/thrift/consignment software needs. You may start off with a different, cheaper solution from somewhere else, but it'll only get you started. Eventually you'll need it to do something it can't... something that only Liberty4 can!
The Best Value in Resale Software
Comentarios: Prior to starting my furniture consignment business I sought guidance from an owner of a similar business located in another state. I knew that I wanted to use a computer based system in my new business because of my tedious experience with written record keeping when I worked in a consignment business back in the 80's. Oliver's recommendation was Liberty 4 Consignment by Resaleworld. As I researched the market, Oliver's choice proved to be very wise. Not only is Liberty a well developed database system with an easy to use interface, it includes thoroughly implemented inventory management tools, comprehensive and flexible point-of-sale system, and a wide range of standard and custom reporting features. I have found that Liberty enables me to be more productive in processing consignments, efficient managing our inventory and more accurate in documenting sales transactions (reporting of sales by consignors, tracking revenues, sales tax, etc'). By using Liberty, my consignors have confidence to trust me to sell their valuable items. Likewise by using Liberty's reCommerce feature, I can reach more customers by offering our inventory on-line. The customer support offered by Resaleworld is the best. They have a large enough development team to have support staff available whenever I needed immediate assistance. They also listen to their customers input. Each new release/update of Liberty includes improved functionality suggested by users. They just keep making it better. While there may be lower cost alternatives, I believe Liberty offers the best value available.
Very robust software with amazing consignment features

Pros:
This software moves fast and can store a lot of data without feeling sluggish. I have owned three consignment stores for almost 11 years. When I opened the first store I bought the cheapest software option I could find. It was a nightmare. When I moved to Liberty I was amazed at the difference.
Entering inventory, tracking consignment sales, printing tags, running reports of your best consignors, etc. etc. is so easy and all built in. The point of sale is very customizable with coupons, receipt options, built in reward plan for customers, etc.
They even have a built-in system for listing items on your own eCommerce website (provided by them!) and on eBay.
You have so many options that you will discover (as I have) as you use the software and will be amazed by all the things this software can do for you and your business.
Cons:
It is expensive. It's expensive up front and it's expensive for support. However, you are investing in the future of your business and the extra cost will save you in the long run when your software can automate things for you and will grow with your business.
Some of the staff are amazing (Angel!) but others can be short with you because of the volume of tech calls they get. They also don't always know the answers to your questions because of the complicated nature of the software.
Overall, Liberty is a great program for a consignment business. I do highly recommend it!
My experience switching over to the a new site

We have worked with Liberty4 Consignment for quite some time and find the inventory module to be a breeze. In the past three months, we switched over to a new website and had to make a lot of changes. We had the same support contact throughout the entire process, and I am so thankful for all of the help he gave us. We love our new website and how easy it is to make changes to our front-featured products. We also added a new function that automatically does mark-downs for our items and moves sold items into the appropriate category, and it makes things so much easier for us.
Contras:
Not that it is a huge issue, but we do find it a lengthy and slightly complicated process to change the slider images because you have to work with the html code in order to do. We have also encountered a lot of issues with our online orders showing up in our order manager. Things are running a little more smoothly now that we have switched over to the new site, but it still lags a little, and every now and then I have to contact the support line to get them to push the orders through for us.

Comentarios: I wrote a review a year ago about how great this company is and how easy this software is to use. I really wanted to take the time to write again because they deserve it. I own three very high volume consignment stores and have been in business for 23 years. I could not be more grateful for all their help and support through the years. I recently purchased another POS workstation, with new printers and scanners from Liberty4. They went above and beyond to make everything work efficiently with my existing system. I have contracts in all my locations and it is well worth the investment. If I open another location I would not hesitate to purchase all my hardware with them. I know all the tech's names, and they are all wonderful and easy to work with. The sales department is helpful and gets everything, including my tags, out immediately. I even got a call when my POS workstation was on the way and was urged to call upon receiving it for any help I might need in setting it up. I plugged it in and that's all. Everything was already done for me. I love these guys and give them much credit for our success.People should know when a company is as wonderful as Liberty4. Like I said, they really deserve it!
This software has so much going for it. We have just started, and it is A++
Comentarios: The complexity of running a CO-OP with 23 members meant we needed suitable software to accommodate several scenarios, and Liberty 4 is easily up to the task. Demo the program, and you will see that it can handle whatever you need in a POS system.

Comentarios: There is a God, His name is Mahashwar! After researching e-commerce site developers and services, I came to Resaleworld with my website concept, which demanded a look and feel I was unsure they could accommodate - only because their example sites were nothing like the ultra modern, clean, and slick site I wanted. Boy, did Mahashwar hit it out of the park!! His determination to make it happen, made it happen! I can barely sleep at night I am so excited over this website. It's look, ease of use, and functionality - it really is a dream come true! And to know that if I need help Resaleworld's savvy, knowledgeable, and professional staff has my back - this is better than a dream, more like a fantasy! The best part is that I learned everything I want and need to know in order to make simple changes to my website when needed - announce sales, change store hours, update service menus. And again, if I run into a snag, Resaleworld techs are there to help! I <3 Resaleworld and I will scream it from rooftops, I am so happy with them!!

The interface and backend of this new store front is so easy for the common person to use. Making changes is a snap, adding products is a snap, and if you get stuck, Resaleworld is there to help. Angel designed my site, my logo, and my colors; it's professional and clean. Love it! My shoppers like how easy it is to use; my consignors love that they can track their items and see their money, and I like that everyone is happy. I have been with Resaleworld since 2009; their product does what it says it will, and the support team is wonderful, friendly, and knowledgeable.

That when I call, I have to leave a message and can't reach a live person. They do call back pretty quickly, but I hate not being able to reach a live person when calling in.
Comentarios: I own a Ladies Consignment Boutique and we were ready to add another client computer. Initially we were using another consignment solution but it could not handle adding another client without consistent problems. We were looking for a solution as well as more functionality with reporting and customization capabilities. We converted our system to Liberty4 Consignment in September of 2010. The conversion went pretty smoothly. We had a few hiccups that Resaleworld fixed quickly. The software is easy to learn and I would recommend learning all that it has to offer, such as adding a pricing guide to the input screen and the various reports that are available. The support is great and prompt when returning phone calls. The team is friendly and puts technical terms in everyday language while resolving issues or answering questions. We are happy with the software and have only one regret - we wish we would have purchased this system first!

The tech support team, hands down, is the best and most knowledgeable I have ever worked with. I call them my heroes because they always fix our problem and do it with an amazing attitude. Renee, our sales rep. it's like we have been friends for years. She knows exactly what we need and takes a genuine interest in how our business is doing. Liberty4 is user-friendly, which makes not only happy staff but happy clients because you're accurately tracking their items. Our SCORE business coach is amazed at the reports we can pull. All the information you need is at your fingertips and if you can't find it, a quick call to tech support and you have your answer with no worries. I can not say enough about Liberty4 Consignment.

Liberty is a great program but I believe what makes it spectacular is the IT department- every time I have questions - not only are they very quick to call me back but they always go above & beyond to help me solve my problems. This was just done once again by the support staff- he did back up on my computer & spent hours looking at reports to figure out what was going on - he was very patient with me & explained everything to me - showing me how I can fix my problem & how to make sure it won't happen again - he showed me how to run different reports, walked me through the steps, etc.... I have had the program for a little over 2 years. I highly recommend Liberty software to anyone getting into the consignment business - It's user friendly & everyone at Liberty has always been so helpful!

Comentarios: The software itself is better than the others I researched. It allows you to have a single account for a person who is both a customer and a consignee and has great reporting functionality. I would've liked Liberty to have taken time to walk me through the software upon purchase rather than leaving me to scan their tutorials and, in essence, figure it out myself. Also, after I purchased the software my sales person would not talk to me. When I emailed her with questions she had someone else call me back. In contrast, the rep who called me back was proficient, knowledgeable, and very friendly. I personally do not like that you are charged for tech support or that when you need tech support you leave a message and they call you back. However, having called tech support many times, I have to admit they are amazing. Kudos!
