GoCanvas - who knew replacing forms with apps would be so easy

Comentarios: Our ability to capture, retain, analyze and share information quickly and clearly is better than it ever was with paper forms. From the start the help in setting up the programs and initial training made a very scary and intimidating process a breeze. I never have to go looking for paperwork only to find it incomplete and illegible. I have rarely been as satisfied with a software as I have been with this.

Puntos a favor:

Extremely easy to build and use apps even for "non-tech" people. Powerful system allows you to build complex routing with ease PDF designer allows you to capture information you need for client while retaining all information you might need in the app for export and evaluation. They are always looking for ways to simplify and improve the program. They communicate changes well and consistently I don't have to read chicken scratch from techs anymore

Contras:

Tech support to solve problems is not very deep or responsive.

GoCanvas is a Temporary Scheduling Software Solution

Comentarios: I found GoCanvas to be a great software in general. It is easy to use and allows you to build forms, collect data, and transfer data to most any platform. It is easy to search and filter your information as well. I would have continued to use it if I were able to customize it to fit a grooming salon. I still would recommend it to others.

Puntos a favor:

I liked how easy it is to create forms and implement them into our website. I like how the information is stored and sent to us, it is very easy to understand and sort.

Contras:

The lack of customization to fit the pet industry.

Stay away from GoCanvas! They have no regard for the customer even a long time customer

Comentarios: Horrible, I was with them from there first beta test and it was good in the beginning but now is different with different management. I needed to lower the amount of users we have and they will not let us and are holding us hostage for a year because they want every last dollar from us. We were not leaving them but we had to lower our number of users and they told us to pound sand and then want us to sign another contract. What a scam.

Puntos a favor:

Well I thought they were loyal to their customers but instead they just want to soak you for every dollar without regards to you as a customer.

Contras:

Don't ever try and lower the number of seats or you are SOL because everytime you add a seat they up your contract and they will not let you lower anything you are stuck until the contract ends. Not even Microsoft soaks you like that.

GoCanvas Forms

Comentarios: We have replaced an older form program with GoCanvas and opened up options to other departments. Their support has been very attentive to our needs and questions.

Puntos a favor:

The ease of creating forms and end user experience has made rolling out the software , well, easy. The departments are in charge of their own forms and any changes which avoids delays they would otherwise experience contacting IT.

Contras:

Currently, there is not the ability to attach documents to the form. We have the need to include official documents to some of the forms that have been created. We are working around that by taking a photo which works in some cases.

Great software for digital forms

Puntos a favor:

Ease of use for digital forms and electronic signatures.

Contras:

Having to store all the forms on a different database that was hippa compliant.

They are Thieves

Contras:

A word of warning!!! These people are thieves!! I cancelled a subscription as it was no longer required and they continue to deduct charges from our acct and refuse to cancel our subscription! My advice, find another provider!!

Contracts Customer service

Comentarios: When we needed to reduce down on seats they would not give us what we needed and didn't care at all about our needs and held us to contract. We are canceling the contract when it is up.

Amazing Tool

Comentarios: Mobile use is very beneficial in our case, because it is very hard to deal with papers during swimming pool maintenance and field services, it is almost impossible to maintain paper forms neat and clean, papers usually get wet and useless. I don't even count field service people hand writing. We are very glad that issues related paper use are all gone and left behind in the past.

Puntos a favor:

GoCanvas is an amazing tool, easy to use, and and very easy to customise, our integration was smooth.

Contras:

It is not necessary but maybe there could be more fonts to use.

Not completed in time, but the company is not planning to give refund

Comentarios: The worst company ever used.The project (form) did not complete in time & they are not planning to give us refund.I feel like this is considered as fraud.I seriously recommend NOT TO USE THIS COMPANY.

Nothing I like about this product or company or service or the people.

Contras:

The tech & team (sales) tells you that they can make the way you want, and make the form in time, but they did not.

Puntos a favor:

Creating a live interaction with customers as well as maintaining WHS obligations.

Contras:

You do have to put a lot of effort into the set up process to maximise the return from GoCanvas but the implementation team are exceptional during this phase.

Comentarios: Always a good experience, easy to use.

Puntos a favor:

Ease of using the system, anyone on shift has no issue following direction and completing the reports.

Contras:

Sometimes slow to get into, but that is not the Canvas system causing this issue.

Great product!

Comentarios: Overall I like the Gocavas, its easy to design applications, its easy to use, and get it out to users.

Puntos a favor:

We were looking for a method to submit inventory transactions that was easy, readily available to the user, on their mobile, that data entered can be validated and that can integrate easily to our system to reduce the time spent manually processing orders. GoCanvas was able to provide all these features.

Contras:

The cons, limitation on graphics size, the reference data has to be partitioned if the file is too big, but there are work arounds, revisions to a forms change the form number so any project integrations that call that specific form number have to be updated every time.

Liars and Thieves

Comentarios: First, do not trust their customer service response time. They say 24 hours. Reality is 3-6 days. When they reply, expect emails of half answers. If you email them back, plan to wait 24-72 hours to get a response to that email. One thing to their credit is that they did admit that their salespeople lie. That takes some bravery. After they admitted they lied to get our business, they told me they would switch us to another product they owned that actually does what we were promised. All we had to do was give them $8000....

It is easy to use and intuitive. Form building is fast.

Contras:

How could a data collection service exist but not allow people to reasonably access and use the data? This app should be free. It really is that limited. For example, if you use this app to make a form that estimates you counted 100 items and later discovered it was 102 items, on a VERY limited basis, you can go back and change from 100 to 102. But, if you actually used that base number for another calculation, don't think GoCanvas will recalculate after you changed the number. You have to do all of your own recalculations, It is ridiculous. Worse, the salespeople will promise anything. We trusted them, spent over 100 hours building the app and then found out we were lied to.

There really is not anything that I can think of that I don't like.

Great product, Super support team

Comentarios: Our maintenance workers get their job assignments on a tablet. The submitter enters the work order, it goes to a maintenance supervisor for approval and assigned to a maintenance worker. When job is complete it goes back to original submitter to ok work was done appropriately and then submitted.
We do all our training exams on tablets and laptops and all of our inspections (forklift, vehicle, ladder, fire extinquishers, eye wash stations, hoists, cranes, scales and all filed with no paper!)

Puntos a favor:

The paper eliminated, filing in the cloud. And being able to check up on inspections and required training to make sure it's taken place.

Contras:

The support team has overcome every obstacle I've run into so there really is no down side. We search by time frame and sometimes I'd like to be able to search across multiple Apps for a specific individual's submissions but this is small beans in comparison to all Go Canvas has enabled us to do

Great software, terrible licensing structure.

Puntos a favor:

Almost everything; creating an app is easier than falling off a log, and even our users are capable of filling them out.

Contras:

The licensing structure is awful. Not being able to add users without totally resetting your license renewal is easily the worst licensing system imaginable. I have tried to think of a worse one, but never could. As much as I love the service overall, I have to constantly fight my managers to continue justifying the cost, and am constantly tasked to find a replacement to save money which is a huge strain on my time. Admittedly this is partially poor management, but the licensing structure does not help matters.

The response to the issue was very fast

Comentarios: Quick forms that can be deployed to users with the ability to analyze the input in Excel

The ease in which a form can be created and deployed to users. I also like the ability to export the data in order to perform analysis.

Contras:

Unable to attach additional files to the form. There are reports that are not static that I would like to be able to have saved and added to the form prior to submission

A great way to improve your efficience and productivitty

Comentarios: Great tool, immense versatility, top tier support.

Puntos a favor:

I cannot explain how this software enhanced my teams productivity. It's really easy to create your own personalised forms, it just requiere to know a little about programming. The custom automatic PDFs make our data completely understandable. And being able to export it to a CSV or JSON format help us build BI reports over other tools would have taken ages if we have used pen and paper, and later pick that up with a computer.

Contras:

The tool is not the cheapest in the market, but honestly, it's worth it.

Well worth the wait

Comentarios: Building the Customer PDF took 6 months. It was very complicated, and that plus the geographical distance between US/UK meant that this took longer than expected. The result is very good however, and was worth the wait.

Puntos a favor:

The apps were very easy to set up, in most cases we went live with the apps the same day. The builder is very intuitive and flexible.

Contras:

The apps was very easy - no complaints. The custom PDFs are difficult if you need to do handovers etc.

Canvas

Puntos a favor:

For clients in higher education looking for a premier online learning product built for social learning, Canvas is the product for you! Having worked in other learning management systems which encourage users to 'document dump' and treat their online courses like correspondence courses, I was quite pleased to design courses and teach in such a high quality learning management system. Additionally, appearance, text size, and other learning environment concerns are appropriate to the higher education context, particularly as accessibility is concerned. This is an excellent product!

Contras:

As a fully featured product, there is a bit of a learning curve in using the product well. That said, i'm not sure how to avoid this in a robust learning management system.

Go completely paperless with ease!

Comentarios: we have streamlined every piece of paper or form through go-canvas, and it has saved us tons of money in paper and filing-time. Makes everything easy to find and easy to complete. No more scanning and resending!

The functionality and ease of use make this platform great for any business who is looking to get up to par with a paperless system

Contras:

i honestly cant think of any flaws with the software system. it is very will built and easily accessible and usable for all levels of management.

Opened my eyes to the world of Mobile Forms.

Comentarios: Trialled GoCanvas extensively while coming up with a solution for our warehouses record-keeping.
Eventually went with ProntoForms and have learnt to love it and the many options I have to tweak and create new forms.

Puntos a favor:

Very simple to use. Powerful options for importing and exporting data. As of October, GC have come out with a Free version for businesses with only one user. This could be quite amazing to get users on board and suit the needs of most small businesses.

Contras:

Expensive for few users. We were wanting to have 3 Users (ie 3 Mobile devices) and pricing could not match alternate software offerings that I found. Though I would likely think if I chose this software long-term, I would grow to love its feature-set.

Doing what it's supposed to do well

Comentarios: It does what it supposed to do well for simple to medium complex forms/ apps. For simple form it has no issue at all. For forms with more complicated and high volume of data, it has issues with some limitation here and there, e.g. only 75 rows of data will be displayed on the mobile device.

Puntos a favor:

Apps/ form are very easy to customize and develop.

Contras:

Limitation to use big reference data. Not really flexibility on PDF designer.

GET IT!

Comentarios: GoCanvas has been incredible to work with. Our business is in Electrical Contracting, and GoCanvas designed a form on their app so that our employees don't need to fill out paper work tickets anymore. They also installed a barcode scanning system, so that our employees can scan items that they take from our warehouse to use at the jobsite. GoCanvas also give the ability to export those work tickets into a CSV or XML file, which means we can actually import those scans from their work tickets into our job costing software. It does so much more than we ever expected it to, which has made our switch to GoCanvas a seamless transition, and our employees who use it love it!
But the best part about GoCanvas is their Customer Service. I've had issues mapping some updates I made to the app, and was in a hurry to get it taken care of (before our employees were going to scan), and they got my message and called me immediately. Their response time is great, and they make sure they actually help solve the problem if there is one.
I can't say too many good things about their company, and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to consolidate their paper forms into a paperless app.
