Great product for Tutor companies

Comentarios: The Tutor Cruncher Team especially [sensitive content hidden]
have been fabulous. They are polite and friendly and we recieve quick responses, with helpful information and guidance on how we can get the best from the system. With best practices, little tips and tricks, we can meet many of our business needs and digital transformation aspirations with Tutor Cruncher. They also pro actively contact us and offer to walk us through additional functionality which may fit our business set up. I would highly recommend Tutor Cruncher to a Tutoring Company.

Puntos a favor:

It is clear to see that the system has been designed and developed by someone who knows the tutoring world. The functionality and features are fabulous, we got up and running really quick and the benefits it bought to our team were great. We were working quicker with less errors and better communication with our Tutors.

Contras:

We are a small business and cant' afford to pay for the development of our bespoke processes. However, as a start up, there is so much potential for Tutor Cruncher to grow. All of our processes are not currently supported by Tutor Cruncher, however many of our business requirements are met. It is an exciting journey to be on with Tutor Cruncher, as they are open to our feedback and ideas for additional functionality for the system to be driven forward and grow as a product. I cant wait to see additional processes in the future.

TutorCruncher Review

Comentarios: Overall has been very helpful, allowed us to streamline our process. However, we had to write our own integrations to customize the site for our needs

Puntos a favor:

I really like the customizability, and the amount of features offered. Pipeline is great, calendar is great, statistics/analytics that we can see is amazing

Contras:

Sometimes it feels a bit rigid, and would like a bit more customizability. Also if more things were in the API this would be useful, I know you cannot add labels through the API so if the API was fully open this would be helpful in allowing companies have more customizability

Moderately content

Comentarios: Average. It's difficult to determine if we've outgrown Tutor cruncher because our business has grown or if Tudor cruncher just doesn't have the capabilities that we need or want in a system

Puntos a favor:

Tudor cruncher has significantly simplified our invoicing process and saved us time at the end of the month on that aspect of our business. It has also worked well for sharing tutoring needs with our teachers and tutors

Contras:

The limitations around putting multiple parents on one account has caused a lot of headache. Additionally, the lack of clarity and consistency on the billing side has caused frustration and concerns. We've also been frustrated with the system reverting back to stripe when we have set clients up on the direct debit go cardless option and that has caused a client to be charged when they should not have been charged. Further, the ability to make adjustments to a bill once a payment order has been sent has caused us to have to pay fees multiple times because we've just had to delete the invoice and resend it and then it's confusing on the client's end because it looks like they've been billed twice. Additionally, we have locations and tutors in three cities and while many of the jobs are virtual, so open to any team member. It would be a lot nicer if we could cipher out clients and tutors by location in a different format

Tutor Cruncher Review

Comentarios: I wish we could use it more but a lot of pre and post training operations are not doable in TC. Better that what we had before and easy to use within it's parameters.

Contras:

In general, TC can be difficult to use for training of larger numbers (up to 12 usually) and recent export option changes do not work for us. There is a lot of doubling up of work.

Makes life so much easier

Comentarios: Positive and straightforward. Always on hand to answer questions.

Ease of use and customer service is excellent.

Contras:

The fees are a little high when you take into account the tax charged by TC on every transaction as well.

Comentarios: It's been good. I'm still learning the system, but rely on my co-worker to help tutor me on things that I didn't realize I could do.

Puntos a favor:

The ease of getting jobs out to potential tutors, the way we can set up new clients. our record of seeing clients and invoicing them.

Contras:

When a tutor applies for a job, but has questions, I cannot reply back to them. I would like a way to respond to their questions directly from tutor cruncer

A Trustworthy Market Leader

Comentarios: Good, certainly a market leader in the tutoring space!

Puntos a favor:

Ability to use TutorCruncher as the main central point-of-truth for your tutoring database. Split payments are nice too, expecially to stay compliant!

Contras:

Thier tech-team seem to be stretched at times, bug fixes can take some time, which can be stressfull when you're waiting on a fix to resolve issues with your own business' clients. Would be nice to see some automation/workflow tools.

Excellent tutoring platform

Puntos a favor:

It's easy to use, well integrated with other products and brings the tutors, clients and students together in one space.

Contras:

I don't like that we are unable to mark students as dormant the way we can with clients. I know that we can create a label to mark them as dormant but this is not the same.

Efficient and user friendly

Comentarios: Positive! As an administrator, it helps me keep track of day to day tasks, as well as the status of various tutoring assignments.

Occasionally it has been challenging to get the answers needed through chat.

Tutorcrunchor Review for Lone Tutors

Comentarios: Very helpful thus far for providing the means to host my lessons with little effort in terms of admin. I can imagine it would be great for bigger tutoring businesses, regardless if online or in person, but it is bloated for those simply running a smaller part time tutoring business. Overall, I cannot find something out there that provides this much automation and tools I need while still keeping the price respectable, even if I am a lone tutor.

Puntos a favor:

The synchronisation of the lessons, students and clients to invoicing and scheduling.

Contras:

The flexibility to handle smaller businesses. There is a lot of extra settings I had to turn off and do not use that would only benefit me if I were a bigger team or business.

Emerson Tuition

Comentarios: It does the job, but is clunky to use, their are often bugs and agents are not well trained enough to help and language is a barrier.

Puntos a favor:

The ability for tutors to do their own invoicing and split payments work well and keep us below the VAT threshold.

Contras:

The customer service is terrible. The agents try their best, but language barriers seem to be an issue. The questions don't get answered fully the first time round, there is a lot of back and forth until the agent understands what you mean, often you figure out the answer yourself in the process (by elimination) and I have been given wrong information in the past, such as that it is possible to split payment three ways - it is not!! This then caused issues with tutor payments. It would be good if this feature was available, it looks like it should be - but then it doesn't work with Stripe.

Use of Tutor Cruncher for Online Business

Puntos a favor:

Tutor Cruncher has helped us to clearly store and track all of our lesson delivery in one place that is clear for all of our tutors to review and then also write lesson reports for.

Contras:

It would be great to have better payment integrations for international currencies and also for there to be a better log of lesson durations on the attendance report button for clients to view

A simple and effective tutoring management system

Comentarios: We have had a very positive experience with TutorCruncher, with positive feedback from our tutors and clients too. It has allowed us to manage the lessons that take place, the ones that are rescheduled and the ones that are cancelled. All users are notified and it has streamlined our invoicing process.

Puntos a favor:

TutorCruncher has streamlined my business by ensuring that all lessons are clearly accounted for, and that parents are able to review feedback in a timely manner.

Contras:

A bulk import of tutors and clients would be an incredible feature to save time for users. Unfortunately this has not been available and it has been very time consuming adding multiple students, clients and tutors to the system.

Backbone of my company

Comentarios: TutorCruncher is the backbone of my company and I couldn’t function without the software. All of my invoicing, student jobs, and client details and stored and managed securely in TutorCruncher. Would highly recommend.

Some of the functions can be a little clunky and slow. Also, at times it can be confusing how there are a few different ways to do the same task.

The Administration Behind Tutoring

Comentarios: I would describe my overall experience with TutorCruncher to be positive and pleasant.

The time zone of the team is much different than MST.

Comentarios: I love the product. It is very extensive, but with that comes a large learning curve. I wish there was more training and support in learning the product.

Customer service and lack of training. The time difference between the US and the UK makes it difficult to get an immediate answer.

TUTORCRUNCHER MEETS ALL OUR NEEDS

Comentarios: From reaching out as a potential client, through the purchase, customization and training, everyone at TutorCruncher was hugely helpful in getting us up and running.

Puntos a favor:

We are not using the full functionality, but what we do use works well for our needs.

Contras:

We cannot do the payments through TutorCruncher. This is not your fault, as our organization insists we use Shopify for invoicing. It just causes a lot of extra work for us. :-(

Sometimes hard to know what has been sent. Some clunkiness in how pages work.
