Simple system to operate and great technical support.
It could mean I end up with 20 min gaps which is a waste of time as can’t offer 20 min sessions. I would prefer to fix the appointment slots.

Comentarios: Power Diary solves multiple problems for me by offering an All-In-One type EMR platform that allows me to document, track my invoices, communicate with clients, manage my schedule, and pay attention to my reports.

Power Diary offers LOTS for features: built-in CRM for email & SMS marketing, appointment reminders, and client correspondence; HIPAA compliant EMR for SOAP notes; customizable templates for SOAP notes and intake/consent forms; the flexibility to create your own SOAP notes and forms; automatic invoices generated when appointments are created; easy scheduling in-person & online through a client portal; capability of clients to pay in advance when they schedule online; Stripe integration with payment processing; reporting for KPIs to understand practice management; ability to create session packages; ability to create 1-on-1 sessions or group classes
Contras:
1-way sync with Google calendar - 2-way sync would be much better so that the calendars could fully communicate

2yrs of PowerDiary and Continuing!
Comentarios: Although I found the learning curb steep at the beginning, I really love PowerDiary and have actually refused becoming an affiliate with various mental health services because I don't want to have to use their system instead of my PowerDiary one.

I love the range of services PowerDiary offers and that I can do EVERYONE in one setting. PowerDiary allows me to schedule/book appointments, send automated communications, create assessment and templates, write my notes, track who's paid and who still owes me a payment, having video sessions, and so much more. Best of all, PowerDiary is always open for suggestions about ways they can improve the system and unlike lots of other services, they actually implement the changes then contact everyone informing them of the updates. I also love that if I have any questions about something on PowerDiary, I can chat with someone in realtime for help or schedule a meeting with someone who will guide me in a one-to-one session.
Contras:
I sometimes still get stuck when it comes to how to navigate third-party bulk payments, but a quick refresher always gets me to where I need to be.

Works ok - until it doesn't work - usually after an "improvement"
Comentarios: Assessed as the "best of a bad lot" when researching for purchase. Nothing has improved to alter that assessment. (Maybe its time to have another look). Certainly have resisted further Power Diary integrations, and using wider functionality - reliance on an organisation that doesn't care for quality is scary enough even with the limited functionality.

Easy to use for a lot of things - eg keeps the client that has been most recently used in one admin function at the top of the drop down for the next (different) function
Contras:
Bugs introduced with "improvements", that can impact the reputation of the Practice as they are visible to patients/clients (eg in communication templates). Clearly no regression testing, or if so, it is slipshod.Customer support - we have tired of being told stuff was fixed when it is clearly not. Nowadays we don't waste our time raising issues for most thingsThe reporting options are weakDoesn't manage "Couples" as a client well - but no competitors do eaither
Best-of-breed
Comentarios: I have used half a dozen other practice management systems. This is the easiest and meets my needs best.
Puntos a favor:
The user interface is intuitive and usable. I can visualise my progress notes for previous consultations easily by scrolling down. Notes autosave as drafts, which is great. The calendar integrates with my phone, so I can see multiple calendars simultaneously. I can build customised templates with autofill fields easily. It integrates with sms, email, and Telehealth.
Contras:
The calendar integration sometimes takes time to synchronise changes to bookings. The letter/report templates don’t autosave and sometimes I have lost work. It can be tricky to attach documents to emails. The practitioner permissions don’t allow me to make changes to my roster.

Comentarios: We are still under using Power Diary, but it is easy to show others what to do to get started. In a short time they have told me what it can do. It's great.

It saves me a lot of time, I can see at a glance if my clients will be attending, I can look back over their attendance easily when asked. I can schedule down time for myself and others on my team. It prevents double bookings. P.D. just streamlines my office work, and I save staff member time.
Contras:
My own lack of time to get the full benefit of the functionality P.D. is capable of.

When applying a note or comment to an invoice, I do not like that the receiver can not view these. If we have sent an invoice multiple times (we record every time it is sent in this comment section), it would be beneficial if the receiver could see this as well.

Great for Speech Therapists!
Comentarios: Very positive- it is easy to use and helps reduce my admin time.

Clinical notes are quick and you can make templates to speed up the admin process. There are lots of additional features you can use e.g., invoicing, custom emails. Customer service and support is brilliant!
Contras:
It's a good product but I still don't use it for report writing as it is not fit for my purpose yet.

Great practitioner software

I do home visits. I haven't found that option on there yet. It would be awesome if it could calculate distance between home visits too.

PD value for money
Comentarios: I love PD and intend on using this as my CMS for now and into the future!

Power Diary has made my life so much simpler as a sole practioner. With its inbuilt features to make creation of forms and invoicing to its great scheduling and claims tracking systems this software is absolutely value for money. PD also have a great range of helpful staff and webinars who assisted me on setting up my practice management from the start.

Comentarios: The appointment reminders have proved invaluable and I believe improved no-shows and forgotten appointments. This also makes your practice look professional and well-run, which instils confidence in my client base.

I love the fact it's relatively easy to use and if I have ever had any issues the online support has been amazing.
Contras:
The only things I can think of that I would find helpful to be improved would be some function so you can only allow specific clients to book appointments online. And the other issue I have found is if you have consent forms that you send out for new appointments they seem always to go out every time you book follow-up appointments just thought that that might be something you could look at

Pricing tiers, it's hard for a growing practice with lots of casual clinicians to keep costs under control.
Simple to set up and use and saves a small business manager lots of valuable time..
Comentarios: It is a fantastic program for a small business that is not used to setting up and using an online program. It saves us a lot of time and manages everything l need in one program.

I was able to set up the whole program to suit my business without too much trouble and have been able to learn and add things along the way. All my employees find it easy to use as well.
Contras:
The session pack system is very handy but does not work properly for my business.
Physiotherapy Practice Management Software review
Comentarios: I have felt significantly more professional using Power Diary from the invoicing, to e-mailing letters and communication to referrers and colleagues. Although my business is small, having a professional software practice management system has been a great investment.
Puntos a favor:
I found Power Diary very easy to use and was able to navigate myself quite easily through setting up my practice information. Have been amazed at all the different integrations and functionality within the system which has been great. Has been a great time saver for me.
Contras:
Would have liked some initial training or a phone call initially to assist with some of the difficult questions. I understand I could have requested this but I found I had to do a lot of "self study" which was more time consuming than just asking a real person a question. Its easier and more user friendly to talk to someone rather than type all your questions in a chat box.
Excellent Diary for All My Needs

This is so easy to use, it took the headache out of scheduling and keeping my own diary in a book, and on my phone. It’s all in one place and is very convenient.

It took me a little while to figure out how to use the features and I’m sure there are some I still don’t use or need really, but once I got the hang of it, it was super easy!
Easy to use, great functionality, responsive team
Comentarios: We moved from Front Desk PM to Power Diary after 12 years. We were naturally anxious about how the information would be migrated to the new system, and whether the system would be able to handle the frequent, high intensity use our multi-practitioner, multi-disciplinary team demands. We have 42 users, and 29 practitioners so we needed a system that was responsive, adaptable and customisable and easy to use. Power Diary has been all these things in the two weeks we have used it, and anything we couldn't use the team were an email (and a phonecall) away, fixing issues for us, helping us navigate and making our lives easier.

The flexibility of the product and the willingness of the support team to take on suggestions for improvement or tweaks that would improve functionality further.
Contras:
Would love to drill down a bit more on the toggle restrictions but will be passing that suggestion on.

We're importing data from all kinds of systems but it's often a point of concern for those making the change. Absolutely perfect. It does everything I need it to.
Comentarios: Very positive. I don't know what more I can say. I've used it for about 3-4 years and so far, it's done everything that I've needed it for.

The ability to charge clients cards and schedule their appointments is just so easy and really meets my expectations with a software.
Contras:
As far as I know, there isn't really a way to charge clients cards without using stripe. I'd like to avoid the stripe processing fees if possible, or if there was some sort of Power Diary card reader, that would be amazing.

For payments, Power Diary integrates with Stripe for online payments processing, and with Tyro (AUS only) for card-present transactions. Our users can also use any payment processing method and enter the processed payments manually into their Power Diary account for reconciliation. Power Diary is a Game Changer for any practice
Comentarios: We have been using Power Diary for a few years now and it's been a game-changer for our practice. The thought behind making this work for many different types of workplaces is outstanding, and the functions that it is capable of is brilliant. The PD team are always helpful, courteous and willing to help in any way they can. Their team are always looking at ways to improve PD by listening to their clients and I've personally noticed that so much has been added as they listen to what's needed. I cannot give enough stars to Power Diary. If you haven't started using them for your practice, sign up immediately. It'll be a game changer for you too.

Private practice assistant
Comentarios: Staying up to date. For example, online booking people don't have to catch us in business hours, they can book anytime. Being able to take a payment within the software, in person or over the phone saves money from missed payments. No one carries cash anymore.
Puntos a favor:
Powerdiary gives ease to my everyday business tasks, from storing my client statistical data, automatic client number generation, online booking and invoicing. It makes business run more smoothly as it is inituitive and the client information is quick at hand when needed. It is so easy to navigate, my staff have required minimal training to use it. Being able to see the little note on the current appointment diary, when the client's next appointment is scheduled or previous booking was, is very helpful and time saving. It allows you to jump straight to it with one click of the mouse.
Contras:
The additional charge for sms reminders in today's tech environment is a little disappointing, as locally, unlimited sms are included in most data plans. However, if it for the moment this means keeping costs down and I can choose to use or not then it is only a minor concern.

Thanks for the great review Elizabeth! We'd love it if we could provide free SMS functionality as well, however sadly those unlimited SMS plans that come with mobile or data plans are not available for commercial use / sending via a platform. The telcos know there are only so many SMS you can send manually from your phone :)
