Localize has made managing multiple languages on my site incredibly easy and efficient. The platform seamlessly integrates with my existing setup, allowing for real-time translations without requiring constant developer involvement.

Contras:

The only downside is that we have to manage multiple environments and adjust language on each one. I wish if you set it on one environment it applied to all of mine.

Good for static sites

Not great for changing platforms or non-static sites. Best for static marketing sites.

Easy, largely hands-off translation software

Comentarios: Localize is easy to maintain and is a relatively hands-off translation solution. I usually log in once a week to approve new phrases.

Localize is very easy to implement. It delivers fast, accurate translations. It's also easy to go in and modify a translation if necessary.

Contras:

It seems to let a lot of spam phrases though (though these are easy to catch during the manual review process).

Great for fulfilling translation needs

Comentarios: Overall it's been a very positive experience with Localize. The app satisfies our current localization needs, with room to grow if and when we are ready to. I greatly appreciate our designated representative always being an email away to help out with anything that comes up.

Puntos a favor:

Localize makes it easy to translate large batches of content all at once. Super helpful that I can order live translations right from the dashboard as well and it's all taken care of with a click of a button. Also appreciate being able to translate images with copy in them = SO USEFUL!

Contras:

The Localize dashboard can be a bit laggy sometimes and slow in updating approved phrases and translations, esp. when using the In-Context editor. Often have to save the updated translation twice before the new translation catches.

Friendly user solution for complicated translation tasks

Comentarios: Ultimately what I can say is that this Localize content management system for language translation has helped many of our projects in delivering important messages to the countries in our mission to strengthens and support country project implementations. The quickness of the overall translation process was super and it reflected immediately on the webpages. Will definitely recommend the tool for other users.

The user friendly content management system where you can modify in many different level of editing towards a URL or webpage. Plus with the feature that allows you to have more than 1 user, this enables us to have multiple proof reader (respective languages) to review before having the web pages published. Also last but not least, our Localize counter part, [sensitive content hidden], was nothing but super helpful in our journey from the start of using the tool until today. Thanks to him, my product managers are able to deliver the translation on the webpages on time for the country trainings.

Contras:

There were non so far. All of our experience with Localize was great.

Partner for your localization efforts

Comentarios: My overall experience is positive and I would recommend the platform.

Puntos a favor:

The support from the assigned Success Manager who is always accessible and willing to help via Slack, email or during a scheduled call. The interface is intuitive. The feature set is growing. The company seeks feedback from their active customers. A few of the suggestions I have proposed were implemented.

Contras:

The team is small which naturally affects the delivery timelines for SDK changes or new feature development.

Great to automatically translate our dynamic webpage

Comentarios: The entire process so far has been great - the support excellent.
Using Localize on our software has enabled us to reach a broader range of customers, where English is not their first language!

Internationalize your site quickly and easily

Localize makes it easy for tech teams to implement and localize any site quickly. There is still work to be done for the actual translations but Localize makes this easy as well - you can order translation or use machine translation and have your team check/revise it.

Contras:

I haven't run into any cons yet. So far it's been great!

Website Localization with Ease

Comentarios: The development effort involved with translating a platform of our size would have been cumbersome - both in the initial implementation, as well as in ongoing support. With Localize, we were able to support localization of our platform with less than a month of development effort. With the support of localization, we are now able to reach and appeal to a broader audience.

Puntos a favor:

Localize has an easy to use interface and has enabled our team to translate our platform with minimal development or administrative effort.

Contras:

The only feature that caused any (very minimal) trouble for our team is the default to enable automatic archiving. We have an introductory assessment that is only periodically revisited, so the phrases were quickly moved to the archive and therefore did not show as immediately translated upon the next identification. Disabling the automatic archiving resolved this for us.

Great tool to localize your websites

Comentarios: We needed to localize several webapps across multiple teams in very short time frame. We could not have achieved the results without this tool. The translators are happy to use the tool and required minimum guidance. Developers adapted to the new tool quickly.

Puntos a favor:

LocalizeJs (LJS) was very easy and fast to set-up and start showing results in target language. All the phrases/strings from your apps go to the same tool and are easy to see and manage. The tech support/help is very responsive and helpful to deal with all kinds of problems you might have.

Contras:

Since LJS pushes all the strings from your Webapps to their tool, it is little bit tedious to find all the data that must not be send to the tool, e.g. confidential user information etc. You still have to find a way to localize possible 3rd party components on your Webapp, because at least we were not able to translate them properly with LJS. The tool is not geared towards deployment flow, where you have DEV, QA, Staging and Production environments and you have to move phrases/strings between different environments.

Comentarios: Good! Nice and easy to get my website translated into multiple languages via a human being, utilising the wordpress CMS.

Puntos a favor:

We needed to professionally translate our microsite into multiple languages to suit our global audience. Localise ticked all the boxes, especially with the human translation offering and the WP integration.

Contras:

he lingo used. As a new user and someone who uses SaaS apps all the time, the word 'Phrases' didn't resonate with me and felt like it over complicated a very straight forward process: I want to translate my whole website into x language. There is also the added complication of having to buy credits too, but thats no biggy. I logged a couple tickets in the 'translate my website via a human' process in the end. It shouldn't be this jagged.

I really like the easy of use to translate and the admin platform. They've made tremendous updates during the years I've used the program and appreciate how on top of things their customer service team is

Contras:

Honestly, not too many cons. Sometimes the translations aren't quite right and I'd love to have more languages added without additional costs, but that'd be going above and beyond.

Simple translation services

Comentarios: Localization of our website is much faster and less expensive than contracting with most translation services. Instead of waiting for major content updates, we can get translations almost instantly.

It's very easy to keep translations up-to-date on our website and we don't need to have multiple copies of each page to store translated content.

Contras:

The service isn't fully automated, so we still have to manually approve phrases for translation every few days.

The API and documentation is very easy to use. We were able to get it set up quickly. Translations are pretty accurate and we are able to have people go in and update strings with no problems.

Contras:

When you need to expand to offer more languages the pricing can get pretty expensive.

Simple and Powerful

Comentarios: Localize is exactly what you would hope to experience from a company—powerful services, easy to set up, and up-and-running quickly. Saved an enormous amount of time and potential stress with their solution.

I love how quickly you can get Localize up and running. I was able to get it implemented on a client's site within minutes. Although I initially felt overwhelmed about this client request, Localize solved my problem with their amazing solution.

Contras:

Nothing—wish we had found the service sooner.

Easy to use translation platform

Puntos a favor:

Translations are implemented right away on our webpage after they have been proofread from our end. For a translator, proofreading is very easy and you can approve a machine-generated translation or improve it with a simple click. Customer support is doing a great job in educating us on how to best use the platform and navigate through it to have the best experience for our specific needs.

Contras:

I would like to be able to simultaneously see where the line I am translating is located on our webpage. The context is important for the correct translation, so seeing where the word is located on our webpage will be very useful.

Comentarios: For the purposes of my website, it is very much "set it and forget it".

Good choice for localization

Comentarios: Although we did not end up working with Localize, I believe it is a good solution for SaaS localization.

Puntos a favor:

- Smooth processes with translators, enabling fast localization also when performing product updates - Easy to use interface which helped us to get up to speed quickly - Little to no tech requirements, very flexible for different platforms

Contras:

- While translation quality was good, one other solution we trialed took the context of our software more into consideration and hence offered a slighly better quality of translations.
