Falta una mejora directa para accesar a la seguridad de la nube

Me gusta mucho ya que su forma inteligente de buscar cualquier malicioso , virus entre otros, es más amplio que otros antivirus, siempre está activo, no es pesado; lo que me ha brindado la prueba gratis , ha sido más que suficiente para decir que es un excelente software, imagínate pagando.

Contras:

Ha sido pequeños detalles a la hora de actualizar, ya que se duplica cierto documentos en la nube, también genera varias carpetas mientras que se va actualizando. Es solo en ingles , fuera genial en varios idiomas.Igual son pocas cosas que no me ha gustado, lo seguiría usando ya que tiene muy buena reputación, y el análisis de archivos u app maliciosos es muy avanzado.

Es muy buen antivirus

Es uno de los mejores antivirus del mercado, protege y da seguridad a tu equipo.

Contras:

Una de las desventajas en la demora del análisis, pero cumplió a fondo con todas las funciones.

el software llena las expectativas de detección y protección en un entorno de redes institucionales, comprobado a largo de su uso

el precio es sin dudas un hecho negativo y no es tan intuitivo como podría llegar a ser, claro esto es mejorable

Contras:

Compleja en sus opciones, en ocasiones me parece que es pesada y afecta el desempeño de los equipos

Compra y configuración de un servidor Symantec

Comentarios: esta será mi primera experiencia funcional como administrador

con este producto se puede configurar un servidor y permitir que todos los PC de esta institución funcionen atreves de el

Contras:

sus sistemas de bloqueos en general y sus mensajes de alerta en cada momento

A good security application

Puntos a favor:

Si easy to mantain and implement, intuitive installation process

Contras:

The application consumes many cpu and memory sometimes, for which the device becomes very slow

Safer digital experience and exploring essential routes

Comentarios: Best threat intelligence network. It is worth trying.

Puntos a favor:

Being able to realize legitimate account names on the system and avoid malicious activities is a major step. The protection technology in place is diverse and trustworthy. Very unique and user friendly too.

Contras:

Does not have Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) which is a drawback. It comes at a cost.

in windows we have by default windows defender . its also giving same features

Time to move on and use something better than Symantec

Comentarios: Overall, I would caution people from using this product. There are other competitors with much more robust technologies for roughly the same price.

Contras:

Missed too many obvious security hazards and required secondary software to fill the gaps in its endpoint protection.

Symantec Endpoint Security

Puntos a favor:

Able to update the Endpoint without an active internet connection. Comes with lots of features that can be activated/deactivated manually

Contras:

False positive. Could be challenging to convince customers to renew license since definitions can be updated without valid license.

Symantec End-Point Security

Comentarios: We were very satisfied with it once it was moved to a cloud based offering as opposed to an on-site server base. But once purchased by Broadcom, the changes in how it had to be renewed thru a reseller and the growing complexity of it, forced us to switch.

Puntos a favor:

Highly Configurable, thus allowing rules to be added for exceptions or exclusions to programs that we needed to trust.

Contras:

Became extremely complex and harder to renew once purchased by Broadcom several years back.

A good product to consider

Comentarios: A good program to keep your computer protected, it does not slow the performance and seems to be more compatible with older systems than other brands. You can schedule the scans, and thethe various options about protection; suggest to lock the settings (the user cannot change them).

Puntos a favor:

I install and use Symantec Endpoint Security on those computers that become too slow or start crashing when I install other antivirus brands. In fact i have to say that Symantec Endpoint Security does not slow your computer while protecting it and scanning for threats. The interface may look a bit old but it has all the features required, plus it is easy to manage. I use it both on servers and clients.

Contras:

Scanning task keep on "amassing" on my desktop, they don't close automatically

Good Security

Comentarios: Overall easy to use and the interfence is like butter its very smooth.

Contras:

Not very strong at reporting and I swear I feel like my computer gets laggy

Symantec EDR

Comentarios: The overall experience from the symantec edr is more than two years that i defend my hundreds computer's and servers and its very good product and very easy to use

Puntos a favor:

I like that its have also proxi defender and web isolation all in one. And the ui ux of the monitor is very easy to understand the statuses

Contras:

It was better if i have also in the monitor able to bring logs from other apps that i have allredey in our organisation

Protection at the best for emdpoint

Puntos a favor:

-ease of agent installation -android ios installation -firewall policy -continous live update -integration with 3rd party is easier

Contras:

-on prem sep is much more ease to use when compare to cloud

Symantec Endpoint Security was my go to for a very long time.

Puntos a favor:

I love all the extra security options and the fact that it keeps all my computer components clean and up to date.

Contras:

I DO NOT like how it bogs down your computer when the subscription has run out. My computer is unusable unless I completely uninstall which can take hours since it slows the whole computer or renew.

I used daily Symantec Endpoint Security. It works well. It automatically detects viruses and malfunctions. It protects my personal computer.

Contras:

Still not found nothing. It is doing well.

Comentarios: It is the best endpoint solution that can exist, it helps us protect our system from the large number of threats that endanger our business information, the neutralization of threats is fast and without detection of false positives. It is a protection system that transmits a great power of virus detection from the first moment of use. The possibilities when using Symantec Endpoint Security are endless.

Puntos a favor:

I like that the scanning system is easy to use, the detection of different viruses is possible thanks to the fact that it is an automatic analysis system, the navigation is intuitive and very easy to understand, it does not consume a lot of ram, it integrates with our entire environment of IT and protects our information at all times.

Contras:

We have not found problems that have interfered or let viruses in, the protection is very genuine and gives us a lot of confidence. It is a protection system that every company should have.

An end to end security system

Comentarios: Symantec endpoint security provides a comprehensive control over your applications and systems. It acts as a final layer of control which prevents your systems from cyber attacks and helps you keep your sensitive data protected. It not only detects threats on a real time basis but also provides a preventative control around the issues.

Puntos a favor:

Symantec endpoint security like the name suggests is the final layer of security which secures our applications and business systems. My personal best feature is it's two factor authentication which secures my access on cloud with an approval from my registered mobile device. So, even if someone tries to break into my cloud server, it will not be possible for them to access because of this two factor authentication.

Contras:

One of the areas where I personally struggled is setting it up in my mobile for the first time. I had to literally reach out to my IT desk and have them fixed before I could start using the tool in my cell phone.

Still too heavy for my computers

Comentarios: Overall it has an improved user interface and all, but it is heavy and it doesn't provide in my opinion, the protection I need

I've been testing the new versions and even though it has improved a lot, it has a lot way to go to become my main antivirus and endpoint protection

Contras:

It's HEAVY and sometimes it shows false positives with applications that have had ZERO problems with other security programs. That presents a problem because I don't want to have my files quarantined without any reason

Contras:

Many false positives, especially with scanners and multifunctions, which must necessarily be inserted in the exceptions in order to work

Symantec Av is great security

Puntos a favor:

Nice central console to manage all endpoints and comprehensive view of endpoints.

Contras:

Need to have features for enabling exception policies per client group etc.
