### "A Definite No - Look further" — 1.0/5

> **Puntos a favor**: Reputation management was okay. Clients liked AI features, but all systems offer that now. Share to social was also a nice feature.

> **Puntos en contra**: Onboarding was a nightmare. Customer support sub-par. Most tools are not their own and they had to reach out to 3rd parties to get things resolved, which happened a lot.

> Our experience with BirdEye over the past year was one of the most frustrating and challenging periods we've ever had with a vendor. The onboarding process was incredibly painful, involving dozens of video calls, phone calls, and countless back-and-forth emails. Once we were finally on the system, the problems seemed never-ending. I estimate that I spent nearly 200 hours of my own time setting up our clients, not to mention the time invested by other team members.&#10;&#10;After six months, we could no longer, in good conscience, allow our clients to continue using such a flawed system and attempted to terminate our contract. Despite presenting all the issues we encountered from day one, BirdEye refused to cooperate and forced us to stay for the entire year. We felt they were in breach of contract given the numerous unresolved problems, but they disagreed and held us to the contract.&#10;&#10;Our agency initially chose BirdEye because they appeared to offer the solutions we needed for our clients, and we were excited to get started. However, we quickly discovered that many of their tools were not their own but rather integrations with third-party systems. When issues arose, BirdEye was unable to resolve them directly and had to contact the third parties, leaving us in a constant state of uncertainty. Some systems simply did not work, and we were advised not to sell them to our clients.&#10;&#10;Ironically, when we first signed up, a colleague from another agency warned me about BirdEye, jokingly asking if they had worked out all their bugs yet. I laughed it off at the time, but he was absolutely right.&#10;&#10;BirdEye might work for single business entities, but as an agency, they are far from ready to meet our needs. Given our experience, I would not recommend BirdEye to anyone. It is a huge relief that our difficult relationship with them has finally ended.

The core product does exactly what we need to help us capture more online reviews, communicate virtual and capture actionable insights. As we've been a customer longer, we see them leaning deeper into AI components that can produce more robust data and insights. The rep that handles our account is also very responsive and helpful when we do have issues. We can track how many leads go from Birdeye to converted sales and it shows the true value for the money we get with our investment every monthly.

> **Puntos en contra**: When signing on with Birdeye, setup was well handled. However, we tried to work on some custom features that took much longer than expected. It did eventually come to fruition but much later than anticipated. Rely on the core product as your gage for your decision and you will save some of the hassle we experienced.

> We moved to Birdeye from a similar platform. They were able to import all information from our prior platform to theirs, which was a huge plus. Onboarding team was on top of things. Our account rep has always been friendly, helpful and available. We have dug deeper into the features over time, as there are many and that can be overwhelming when tackling them all at once. Overall, it has been a very positive experience.

I'm sure it'll do somebody some good but my experience as a small business. No, I would not do it again and I would not recommend it to a friend or colleage.
