Great value for the money, which is important working for a non-profit.
Puntos a favor:
Accountability. Use this for a non-profit to validate accounting practices being used. Very familiar with the product so it is relatively easy to use.
Contras:
Not has functional as QB Online. Reporting is very lacking compared to QB Online. Do not use it to connect directly to the bank so not certain if that is valuable or not. Will try it, since I've found the value in that with QB Online.

"Feel Confident at Ease with QuickBooks Desktop"

QuickBooks Desktop was great for when you want day to day reporting, and then financial reporting for the month, quarter and year. It does require some time to investing in using it to become more conformable, but once you have you are on your way. It is also great for staying on top of your monthly invoicing.
Puntos a favor:
QuickBooks is a great program for those who are serious about their bookkeeping. Whether you are doing this for yourself or have hired someone to use it for you, it is a great value and once you get a hang of it, the ease of use will impress you.
Contras:
As wonderful as it is that it is very comprehensive, it can have a learning curve to get up to speed on using it. Ideal for mid to larger businesses. Small businesses may not need all of its features. However they have great customer support to help you on your way.

I do not really want to lose my QuickBooks desktop but with everything transitioning to online (and Pro and Premier versions no longer supported), I "fear" that Enterprise Edition will be discontinued soon. I have stayed with QuickBooks for 25 years for my company even though I am not a fan of what I believe are bad practices of Intuit.
Puntos a favor:
I've used and supported QuickBooks Desktop for over 25 years. The product is simple to use and learn. It does not require a lot of training for the basics.
Contras:
It is very easy to manipulate the software and I have seen several companies lose a lot of money due to employees stealing. There are audit logs to help you track down changes and I realize it is not a problem specific to QuickBooks but the simplicity does have negatives.

It was a smooth and positive experience. I was able to input all the pertinent information whenever a transaction was done, and the software processed the information for each client and transaction seamlessly.
Puntos a favor:
The convenience of having records at hand and easily organizable by the program, making the process more efficient and less time consuming.
Contras:
I would love to have been able to integrate all of my business transactions into the program more easily in order to allow it to calculate taxes. It would also have been nice to have a tubrotax or AI tax feature that does your taxes for your at the end of the year.

The overall experience with Quickbooks Desktop was extremely positive. The customer support was great and it is perfect for the small to mid sized business that keeps things simple.
Puntos a favor:
What I liked most about Quickbooks Desktop was the ease of use. It is a very straightforward software that gets the job done without a bunch of unnecessary add ons.
Contras:
The part I liked least about Quickbooks Desktop was not having the online functionality. With the increase in remote working, not being able to access the software lead to the switch.
