Sales & Purchase made simple
Comentarios: Software is one of my favorites for companies with no purchase order system.
Puntos a favor:
Great for small companies who need sales and purchasing. Sales has records of customer quoted sales and purchases can see what to order. Great way for a company to keep track of purchases and data can be exported to third part software. Purchasing software even has serial column for warranty verification of products. Was great for HVAC and appliance repair company. Great software for company with no purchase order system. Can make everything paperless and user's can view inventory, content and prices with no license. User license is portable.
Contras:
Software lacks year end inventory count reset. Reports could be better to show year to date expenses. I had a tough time getting year to date reports.

Comentarios: Overall its the best i have found. I used Millenium software called Aatrex and it had one major advantage, I was able to program my own reports using crystal reports. The disadvantage is they have not gone to the cloud or handheld devices.
Puntos a favor:
The ability to have many types of inventory and pricing in CAD & other currencies. The pre baked different ways an order can be printed, invoice, confirmation, pick list, box label
Contras:
I cannot figure out how to make an inventory report that excludes items with zero inventory on hand. The software is missing the ability to easily print out a list of available products that i can hand to a customer. In order to have such a list, I must export to excel and manually remove any items with zero or negative inventory. Its a huge time sink

Hi Todd, thanks for this great, detailed review! Regarding your report, here are two tips that could help: 1. You could use an Inventory by Location report which can exclude products with zero quantity. 2. If your plan includes inFlow Showroom, you could create a public showroom and share that link with your customers. Showrooms can exclude out-of-stock products, and unlike an emailed or printed report, the showrooms are updated live based on the latest inFlow data. Hope that helps, and thanks again! ^TW

Comentarios: Hands down, the best decision we have made for Inventory tracking, order writing and invoicing.

We love the ability to easily enter orders and track their progress. The Reporting is amazing and the ability to customize fields is key to our ability to utilize INFLOW in the most efficient way for our Company.
Contras:
There are not many cons. One would be the fact that once we import new data, the new pricing does not update on Purchase Orders. That would be super helpful for us.

Thanks very much for this great feedback, Mary! For PO pricing, this may depend on what kind of import is being done. But just in case it helps: if the PO price is different from the saved vendor price, you should see an icon beside the "Unit price" field to save that PO's price back to the vendor record. ^TW

Comentarios: Overall it has been an awesome experience. I was sold from the beginning. [sensitive content hidden] to get our inventory imported and get our custom fields setup, it was clear that the support was awesome. We have been with inflow since 2018 and I have recommended inflow to some of our sister companies across the country.
Puntos a favor:
Technical support is quick to respond and communicates clearly. User interface on the desktop version is very clear and easy to use. Showroom access helps efficiency.
Contras:
Having to pay for increments of 5 user subscriptions at a time. Meaning that one person needing to be added will cost you adding 5, leaving 4 licenses unused. Showroom needs an "add to cart" button. Currently, you just increase the quantity, which works fine, it just confuses people new to the process until they get the hang of it. It also leads to people adding things to their cart that they did not mean to add.

And you're right that our plans come with a minimum number of users—like 2 or 5. We don't currently offer plans with fewer users than that, but there are options to add one extra user at a time. ^TW

Comentarios: I had an easy time setting it up. It took a long time because we have so many parts but in the end was so worth it! I've been using it for about 2.5 months and have not had any problems.

I really like that it is all in one. I dont need different programs to keep track of inventory, customers, and invoices.
Contras:
I wish I could click on a part in a sales order and bring up info about the part. If I want to look at a parts info I have to look it up separately.
need an easy way to reserve product put on hold

Contras:
I would like to have a way to reserve products for a sale that we are waiting for customers payment to clear without totally taking it out of inventory, but it shows our website that product is not there at that time, so we do not take an order for product that we are holding for a customer. We do not have your full package with the store because we have a website. I would just like to have a simple way to put product on reserve / hold.
Inflow is a very good ERP system, but lacks mrp.
Comentarios: Used it for several years. Extensively use the Inventory module. Probably the best customer support I've ever enjoyed.

Functionality, customer support, cloud-based, reporting, exporting, value
Contras:
Not quite mrp, i.e., there is not a time-phased "Make/Buy Report" that materials professionals look for.

Hi James, thanks for the honest feedback on what we're doing well and what we could improve on. We've released a few new features for manufacturers in the past year, like a full web manufacturing module with routing and prioritization, and we'll continue to look into making things easier for manufacturers in inFlow. Practical
Comentarios: It has all the we currently need in terms of order management and inventory management, and such basic functions are enough so far. But the SQL engine tends to jam very often... it is annoying yet not a cause to discard the software yet.
Puntos a favor:
Easy to use, easy to deploy and configure
Contras:
Unstable, tends to lag frequently. Consumes too much resources. Must be restarted once per day

Comentarios: We've been very happy with InFlow and it is an essential part of our day-to-day operations.

Inventory Item input can be confusing and difficult to change.

Comentarios: Customer Service is pretty quick for a global business. We have had very few issues that weren't immediately solve for us.
Puntos a favor:
InFlow has been with us from the beginning. It's an intuitive system with great support and endless information available online. It's as complex as you want it to be.
Contras:
Struggling with setting up the correct tax codes for transfer into Quickbooks. We've not come to grips with all the data transfer between the two softwares, so it requires tidying up in QB.

The Simplest and Most Efficient Stock Management System available
Comentarios: We spent a lot of time trying 5 or 6 cloud-based software looking for the easiest system on the market. We really enjoy using it for over 5 years. Menus are intuitive. You can use it without training or tutorials. Great to setup reordering points & quantities; Customer statements, credit notes, returns, Online Catalogue for customers, etc
Puntos a favor:
Simplicity to use. Great customer support. Very comprehensive capabilities.
Contras:
That it is not completely cloud based, i.e. it takes a few seconds to load up or update
Ease of Using Inflow Inventory Program
Comentarios: In my opinion, Inflow cloud is very user friendly. I like that in the products tab you can search for any item with using word in the title. It doesn't have to be specific. I feel that the system is very straight forward and easy to learn all the basic functions for supply ordering and inventory control.
Puntos a favor:
The customer service that work with Inflow are very attentive and knowledgeable about the system and time to review and come up with solutions to any question we may have to streamline our inventory process.
Contras:
The cloud version and the app are different and sometimes confusing to switch between the two. I feel there are more features available in the cloud version.
Inflow Review
Comentarios: I think Inflow is a great tool for businesses up to a certain size. I like the simplicity to it compared to some programs.
Puntos a favor:
I like the simplicity of it. It's fairly easy to pick up on how to navigate through it.
Contras:
There is no easy way to see what hasn't been picked for a manufacturer order. When you use the auto fill button, you can't revert back without leaving the screen. Also, when you use the auto fill button to see what is remaining to pick, you risk saving by accident.
Inflow Purchasing and Inventory Management
Comentarios: Positive. Simple to use. Provides all the insights to efficiently run day to day business.
Puntos a favor:
Ease of use. Correct and accurate mapping of incoming POs to final bins after PO receipts, Movement history to track flow of items and all the reports to get critical insights on the business.
Contras:
Dashboards. They need to be more concise and automated.
Wonderful Experience
Comentarios: I started using Inflow around 9 years ago. I have had to deal with a few other systems and I can assure you they can not hold a candle to inflow. Inflow has been the system that I have used to build our entire parts organization.
Puntos a favor:
The ease of viewing product usage to determine min & max levels.
Contras:
I really do not have an answer for that.

A solid product even though it wasn't for us
Comentarios: I really liked inFlow personally, and I would recommend it to any friend or colleague looking for an inventory/invoicing software. I had a good time talking to every team member that I spoke to, which I can certainly say is not the case for every software team that I spoke to!
Puntos a favor:
I really liked the overall layout and looks of inFlow. The design is clean and makes it fairly easy to find what you're looking for. Although it took me a little bit to figure out, I did like the way that parts were able to be "canned" into a finished good. This made overall organization of the inventory easy. I also liked the variety and customization of the labels generated with inFlow. It could fit anyone's needs in that arena. I also appreciated the helpfulness of the person who demo'd the product to me. I can only imagine how helpful the other support members are.
Contras:
My bosses really prefer a very very detailed invoice, and they had a difficult time making that happen. They felt like it wasn't easy to make the estimates as similar to our old system as they would've liked which is ultimately the reason we are continuing our software search in another direction.

The best thing about inFlow Inventory is the tracking and reporting.
Contras:
The reporting features are almost perfect, I have one report I need to create on my own, but otherwise the program is almost perfect.

Logs us in and out sometimes, which it would save the invoice.

It has some missing feature that may be critical for us and will ease our whole order process and fulfillment like product variant matrix.
A dream to work with
Comentarios: Pretty much all the Inventory and work orders, and practical flows of invoicing, sales orders, purchase orders etc.
Puntos a favor:
Quite simply, it is easy and allows for most functions we need with work orders and serialized items. The Inflow Cloud is fast enough and easily customizable. Great stuff, quite simply. :) And the customer service is nothing short of stunning.
Contras:
There are no cons, per se, more features that would be great to add on, as time passes and you develop the software further; the Android client (being able to do POs, SOs and invoicing would be fantastic). There are some other bugs with the Android client, in terms of cost pricing on the products that can be straightened out; right now we can't really use it for much. Furthermore, it would be great to be able to communicate in our own language with customers that are non-English speakers, by adding European specialty letters instead of ? :) And should you move towards creating shipments directly through API (with tracking updates) towards DHL, TNT, UPS etc, that would be cool (check out the Parcel tracker app for Android). And also of course taking the step out towards an own integrated sales platform to a little bit bigger extent than the inventory showroom (like a webshop of sorts), rather than the one-way integration to Shopify, that could be a really interesting proposition for us (however, we understand that it is an inventory system, and at that it is great stuff.

Hi Christian, thanks for the great review! I just wanted to update you on some of the features you mentioned as a lot has changed since your review! You can now do POs, SOs and share/email invoices from the mobile app. The Shopify integration now pushes inventory from inFlow to Shopify as well as pulling Shopify orders into inFlow. Our API is now available to use and you can see our documentation here: https://cloudapi.inflowinventory.com/docs/index.html We do also integrate with EasyPost now, which you can connect your existing carrier to (e.g. DHL and UPS) so that you can generate and print a shipping label without leaving inFlow.
