Comentarios: Desde que empezamos a usar los producto y servicios de ArcGIS, hemos podido garantizar la calidad de los estudios realizados, dada la variedad y facilidad de uso de las herramientas que este presta, ademas de su gran flexibilidad al integrarse con software CAD, se ha convertido en un estándar para el manejo y análisis de información geográfica.

Puntos a favor:

Al referirse a ArcGIS, podríamos dedicarnos largo tiempo hablando de cada una de sus dependencias, como por ejemplo sus bases de datos y mapas que en conjunto con su API o aplicaciones en especifico como ArcGIS Pro (entre otras tantas), componen sistemas de información geográfica sumamente capaces y efectivos, al punto de ser indispensables en la planeación y manejo ambiental, por ejemplo, que sumado a lo intuitivo de su interfaz, adecuada documentación, y gran flexibilidad con software CAD, le hacen sencillo de implementar.

Contras:

Con la migración de ArcMap a ArcGIS Pro ha sido para mantener a tope la integración con otros servicios que esta plataforma ofrece, un error recurrente ha sido tema de charla; sus repentinos cierres que a falta de haber guardado con anterioridad, suelen perderse algunos minutos de trabajo.

EXPERIENCIA DEL EMPLEO DE ARCGIS

Comentarios: ME HA SIDO DE MUCHA UTILIDAD AL MOMENTO DE PRESENTAR EVENTOS Y LLEVAR EL SEGUIMIENTO DE ESCENARIOS CON UBICACIÓN EXACTA REPRESENTADOS EN UNA CARTA DIGITAL.

Puntos a favor:

EL MANEJO DE LA INFORMACIÓN GEOREFERENCIADA QUE NOS FACILITA LA INTERPRETACIÓN DE EVENTOS EN EL TERRENO DE MANERA DIGITAL.

Contras:

EL PESO DE LA INFORMACIÓN MUCHAS DE LAS VECES AFECTA AL DESEMPEÑO DE LAS COMPUTADORAS QUE NO TIENEN LAS MEJORES CARACTERÍSTICAS, RETRASANDO LOS TRABAJOS.

SIG lider mundial para recopilar, administrar, analizar, compartir y distribuir información digital

Puntos a favor:

La creación de mapas, polígonos, muestreo de árboles...

Contras:

El zoom de las imágenes satelitales hay que mejorar.

Agricultura de Precisión

Comentarios: Software excelente que se adapta a diversos Software GIS o CAD los cuales al combinarlos son muy util en agricultura de precisión, de igual manera se puede utilizar en el uso ambiental, urbano y rural, versátil en sus funciones, fácil de comprender y de mucha ayuda en cuanto a GIS se refiere.

Puntos a favor:

El software es muy versátil en funcionalidades para obtener y crear la información necesaria en los trabajos que se desean.

Contras:

Que solo se encuentra en versiones en Ingles.

Gran herramienta de trabajo

Comentarios: siempre me ha sido muy funcional, por lo que he optado a usarla para cualquier proyecto que involucra SIGs

Puntos a favor:

Es muy útil para un sin finde tareas y proyectos, lo que me fascina que se convierte en toda una base de datos caeda archivo o grupos de archivos y proyectos.

Contras:

con las nuevas versiones las herramientas cambian de lugar, de comandos, de nombre, etc.

Excelente Aplicación de Manejo Geográfico

Comentarios: Es una aplicación que consume mucho recurso digital y muchos formatos con los que se guarda los productos generados en este programa tiene una codificación que no son compatibles con plataforma similares de manejo de gestión geográfica.

Puntos a favor:

Es un software excelente con un motor de procesamientos poderoso para la gestión de archivos cartográficos y geográficos. Recibe y procesa casi cualquier archivos y formato de data base con información geográfica.

Contras:

Es una aplicación que consume mucho recurso para su funcionamiento, congestiona la memoria RAM que equipo así como su aplicaciones externas.

el programa tiene varias herramientas intuitivas que ayudan al usuario a desarrollar con mayor facilidad el uso del programa

Contras:

deberia de ser mas facil de instalar para que todos los usuarios lo puedan hacer facilmente

ArcGIS

Comentarios: Su relación precio / funcionalidad es muy elevado. Existen otros software más económicos y hasta gratuitos que permiten realizar los mismos trabajos.

Todas las características son buenas y funcionales

Contras:

Si alto costo para realizar el más sencillos de los proyectos. Existen software más económicos y que hacen la misma tarea y hasta más eficientes

Comentarios: Es muy buena

Puntos a favor:

Si buena funcionalidad y facilidad ya que se puede contar también con arcmap

Contras:

Que es un software muy pesado y manejar dos a la vez no es recomendable

Arcgis

Comentarios: Es un excelente software pero comparado con otros en el mercado es muy costoso.

Tiene todas las funciones para realizar un sistema de información geográfica conoketo

Contras:

El costo comparado con otros software como Mappinfo y Qgis que es gratuito y el precio de Argis es muy elevado

Great possibilities in the ArcGIS program

Comentarios: When you see the results of your work after completion, you will realize that it was worth every minute you worked on it

Puntos a favor:

What I really liked most about this program is its great ability to carry out tremendous tasks in a completely professional manner, which makes you literally dispense with other programs.

Contras:

What bothers me most about it is that it requires specific specifications in order for it to work perfectly, but it must be said that it works on moderately efficient devices, and it sometimes has some problems while working, which can lead to the program stopping on its own and restarting it again.

ArcGIS review from a long time use of it.

Comentarios: Over ALL experience is really great and useful with this software I really like it and I can always update my works without any problem, it is a real time saver for me.

Puntos a favor:

most of what I like about it is that I always can update and modify DATA easily without the need of recreating the whole project.

Contras:

I do not like much the paid features for it is so expensive for me so I can not use it and enhance my work.

Mapping Software

Puntos a favor:

This is one of the best in the industry, and is a niche product. It is very robust and performs mapping well. There are alot of modules and it takes time to really learn the system.

Contras:

If you are not computer savvy and don't take the time and effort required to learn the software, you won't like it. The usability has a lot to desire as things are hidden deep inside of menus. I think overall the software is expensive and bloated. You may only use 25% of the product. The KISS principle is lost on this.

ArcGIS Review

Comentarios: I highly recommend ArcGIS for users in the urbanism, geographical and territorial fields because it can create any cartography needed

ArcGIS is a powerful tool for creating maps and analyzing data. It is highly scalable and users can create beautiful cartographies for urban and city planning.

Contras:

It can be a little bit complex for new users to understand the platform and its layers

A Quality Product to Improve Decision Making and Planning Strategies

Comentarios: This software was introduced to me when I was doing my university research on landslide susceptibility mapping. By overlapping different types of geographical maps and creating a land use map in the area, I was able to find that there is a high possibility of a landslide occurring in the considered area.Till then, I am using different features of this software in my role of planning Engineer.

Puntos a favor:

Spatial analysis can be done using different methods for an effective decision making and these type of analysis are can be done in various sectors. In my role now as a planning engineer, I use this in route planning for the material and goods transportation to reduce the transportation cost. Since its data visualization is so much effective I am able to make inventory management, and dispatch management very much easier. Without this software, it would have been way more difficult.

Contras:

For me it took some time to get used to all the tools in ArcGIS since there lots of tools available that is based on your purpose of using the software.

ArcGIS for Non-Profits

Puntos a favor:

Its the best GIS Software you can possibly use. It has every app and every thing you could ever need. As long as you can pay for it

Contras:

Nothing. Its perfect, there isn't anything that it can do.

Comentarios: im totally love with this software. last 6 years im working with ArcGIS software.the best part is visualization and professinal data quality and Delivery also customer support .

too costly. the user interface is bit slow.need good configration system for good working condition.

Fast but Expensive GIS software

Comentarios: It was quite good experience but for me this software is expensive as compare to the features they are providing.

Software's speed and data processing ability I liked the most. Software overall user base is too large. Which gives more trust.

Contras:

Less support in India and its limited tools/features. One need different different tools and add-ons to perform specific tasks.

ArcGIS for Surveying

Comentarios: Best GIS software available

Puntos a favor:

Interfaces with GPS units for easy data collection and importing. Online maps enable you to see what is being collected in near real-time. Near infinite options on how to present and display data.

Contras:

Cannot interface with total station for data collection (from what I can tell). Occasional software crash with no auto-save.
